Training and Creating

For two years, Carissa and Chris Dalton, Huck&Dorothy, held a film lab in Phoenix, Arizona. Writers, actors, and directors were taught screenwriting, film acting, and directing for the screen. Out of that teaching, the budding filmmakers developed short films as teams. New to the world of filmmaking, their growth was tremendous, the stories created were deep, and the community formed out of it was substantial.

Some of their work is featured below.

Out of those two years, over 25 short films were filmed and edited. Each story was touching and drawn from the lives of the actors, writers, and directors. Our hope is to take that experience and spread it through the state of Arizona and beyond.

Also emerging from that time was the feature film, All The Dragons. Some of the cast and most of the crew for the film came from the Film Lab, drawing on what they were learning and putting it into practice on a grand scale.
