The Christmas Whisper
A woman manages the estates of the wealthy while living out of her car, when she meets the neighborhood dog walker who ignites hope for her future and the possibility of love.
Living out of her car, Hannah is confronted by a police officer and the life she once knew. Her worlds collide as she manages estates in the wealthy Whisper Trails community while caring for her aging mother in an assisted living home. She is a devoted daughter and a business professional. Only, she keeps others at arm’s length, staying isolated so that she won’t hurt others and in turn, won’t get hurt again. On the heels of her public embarrassment, Hannah meets Eli, the neighborhood dog walker at Whisper Trails.
As the temperatures drop, Hannah is given an extended stay at the Robertson’s with the task of making their enormous home Christmas-ready. Eli steps in to help with all the heavy lifting and the two form a friendship over multiple days. He is charming and compassionate and she finds herself opening up and laughing with him easily. Her dream of owning a bookstore is awakened again. On the cusp of a romantic evening at the Whisper Trails Christmas Gala, Eli takes Hannah out and shows her the retail space he’s leased for the two of them to start a business together.
Hannah, overwhelmed by his forward move, retreats —almost penniless and living out of her car again, not knowing when her next gig will come. She breaks into her mom’s assisted living home and gets caught. She finally confesses all that she’s lost and asks for help. Her mother reminds her that God has never turned his back on her and is here to help her now. After Christmas, Hannah and Eli set up shop in their hybrid bookstore meets dog hang out and the opening is a huge success. In the end, they are the ones picking up their key to come home to Whisper Trails.
All it takes is a whisper, a gentle sound, and the courage to ask for help.
